Video Interview

Project

The first project for interviewing in video was to tell a story of a person within your class and use proper techniques. I was assigned to Asya Leavitt so I had to ask her some questions to get some story ideas for the interview.

Ideas

After asking a bunch of questions to Asya I ended up coming up with a couple of ideas for the interview. She liked photography, photo journalism, and traveling, which kinda all ties into each other. But once I figured that out I needed to get enough questions so the interview wouldn't be to short.

Problems

One big problem Asya and I had on the interviews were the 3 days we lost progress. One day I was gone and two other days we had to reshoot an interview. When editing the video I realized that I didn't shoot enough b roll. One thing I did learn from this experience is to shoot plenty of b roll, just drown your SD card with b roll.

Finished Product

Im happy with the finished product with what I had. Im glad we had an extra two days to edit our projects a bit longer which made my piece a lot better in the end. B roll was the only problem I had with making the video and I enjoyed making most of it. Hopefully this experience makes my future projects better.
