Creative Process
When we started out this project the idea was to have a student be lost in the school building trying to find their class. We wanted to make the student go around the entire school but once we finished filming some parts had to be cut out because of timing. Since we had 4 people in our group and only 1 actor from that 4 people the rest of us just thought of ideas for shots because there wasn't anything else we could do. Once we finished filming we nailed most shots while other shots took a bit, and things didn't look bad so I was happy with our videos. Editing was a struggle, time was the problem mostly, We had to have the video within 1 minute and with 3 and 1/2 minutes of unedited video, it was going to be hard. But it worked out fine.
Role and processes
One key decision I guess was when we decided to do a student being lost instead of anything else. But really most of the time it was just shooting videos and maybe an idea or two coming from someone, but overall everyone was involved in the process. My role was going to be half cameraman but we tried to cram all of the filming in one day so it was difficult, but we did it, so I guess I was the person who makes sure everything is in check.
Different/Same
The only thing I would do differently is the idea for this video, the video ended it up to be too long and we couldn't use all shots which made the video seem a bit weird. Other than that id do all the things the same, and the experience of knowing how long your video is will really help me make my next project.
Conclusion
The video was really fun to make, while most of my time was editing and we only spent really one day filming, it was fun. My group members we're helpful and on task which was nice. But since the video was filmed in one day I got the video done really fast and had a lot of free time.
